STEM Venturing Crew 111

We’re a co-ed Scouting America Venturing crew based at Newburgh Creates in Newburgh, NY. If you’re 14 to 20 and you like building robots, writing code, 3D printing, geocaching, or just figuring out how things work, this is your crew.

Every month, we pick a STEM topic, plan it ourselves, and then go do it: a program night at the studio, then a Sunday adventure that takes the topic out into the world. So far, that’s meant marble runs and Rube Goldberg machines, XRP robots, a trip to the Engineering Expo in White Plains, and a day watching combat robots at the Norwalk Havoc Robot League.

Venturing is youth-led. The crew’s officers plan the calendar, run the meetings, and choose what comes next. The adults keep it safe and help make it happen.
