STEM Venturing Crew 111

We’re a co-ed Scouting America Venturing crew based at Newburgh Creates in Newburgh, NY. If you’re 14 to 20 and you like building robots, writing code, 3D printing, geocaching, or just figuring out how things work, this is your crew.

Every month, we pick a STEM topic, plan it ourselves, and then go do it. Here’s some of what we do:

• A programming night at the studio, where we might work on Python, Minecraft, or Roblox
• A Sunday adventure that takes a tech topic out into the world
• Marble runs and Rube Goldberg machines
• Coding XRP robots to compete in a robot dance competition at the Hudson Valley Digital Rally Hackathon 2026
• A trip to the Engineering Expo in White Plains
• A day watching battle bots at the Norwalk Havoc Robot League

Venturing is youth-led. The crew’s officers plan the calendar, run the meetings, and choose what comes next. The adults keep it safe and help make it happen.
